The Art of Racing in the Rain
If you have a dog in your life you will love this book. It's very cleverly written, entertaining and deep in the story. I highly recommend it.The thing that I loved most was that the dog tells the story! Sunday, September 5th, 2010

The Art of Racing in the Rain
Good to read, and interesting since I knew nothing about car racing. The author explains the skills needed to succeed as a race driver to his willing listener, his dog, and we all learn that most of those skills transfer to life's problems as well. My book club members confessed to lots of tears, and we had plenty to discuss, as far as the obstacles our hero had to overcome. Friday, September 3rd, 2010

GREAT BOOK!!
I almost didn't read this book because I heard it was from the point of view of a family pet, BUT... I read it anyway and loved it! This is a five star book and NOT a waste of your time. Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

guy lit?
Is this what guys are reading this summer? A sentimental journey through car racing, talking dogs and most things bad that can happen to a guy. He perseveres through it all - death of a spouse, temporary loss of a child, challenges of a career as a race car driver, unfounded charges of rape - with the help of wonder-dog Enzo. Pleeeeze. Yes, it was touching. Yes, I read it all. But good writing, NO. Good plot, hardly. Silly conceit, mediocre at best. Buy it used, take it to the beach and leave it there. Luv Enzo
Daughter recommended. I ordered rush and took it with me on a road trip to Montana. This book sustained me at my bleakest hour. I walk daily at a dog park with Bugs and Ernie. I tell everyone about the book. I have not gotten any takers. Oh well this is a classic keep. It will stay on my favorites book shelf for sustenance as needed. This book deals with the big picture.
